THIS HAIRDRESSING COURSE ENABLES YOU TO:

THEORY: 

State the most common types of risks and hazards in a hairdressing salon and be confident in taking such action to minimise the occurrence of accidents and spillages.

Discuss the best ways of adopting and promoting a professional image through communication, behaviour, dress and team working.

Explain the processes involved in client consultation and the reasons for these methods.

List and discuss a variety of services available to clients in the hairdressing salon and consider the promotion of additional products and services.

Explain the importance of clear communication and the main tasks involved in salon reception duties.

List and describe the main roles and career paths in the hairdressing industry.

PRACTICAL UNIT 7:

Tinting, Highlighting, Blow-drying, Cutting, balayage Followed by assessments.

BASIC COLOURING INCLUDES:

Foiling and basic colour techniques.

ADVANCED COLOURING TECHNIQUES INCLUDES:

Balayage, Baby lights, Root melts etc.

YOUR KIT INCLUDES A TRAINING BLOCK:

Guided Learning Hours (GLH) – 80 Hours Total Accredited Time (TQT) – 100 Hours

The unit summary can be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if students wishes to progress their studies in this sector.

In-Salon Training or Online Training. If you opt for online training, you will access your course lessons using our online learning platform, you can access all of your correspondence, FAQ and general course guidance. Our platform can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection 24/7.

All learners have access to a qualified tutor via email for the stated support period. In addition to this, you will be able to speak to our support team via telephone with any query you may have relating your course. In addition to your allocated Interactive Livestream for the Practical Unit.

ASSESSMENT

Learners will be required to complete a series of tutor-marked assignments, (usually 1 after each unit) as they progress through this course. Each assignment will contain a variety of tasks/questions. These assignments are assessed by your tutor to monitor progress. You will be provided with constructive feedback to help you in completing each unit to the required standard.

There is no examination to complete as the course is completed using continual assessment.
